The Workshop is for government staff at differ ent levels of the government, and individuals from organisations who are likely to support the government in identifying and addressing national evaluation capacity needs. The 2030 Agenda calls for a systematic follow-up and review of the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG). Country-led evaluations constitute a key element in this process and strengthening national evaluation capacities assumes importance more than before. The performance management of SDGs underscores the challenges that remain in national evaluation capacities and the need for developing national evaluation frameworks and strengthening the linkages between evaluation and public policy processes.

The Workshop is targeted to government staff at different levels of the government, and individuals from organisations who are likely to support the government in identifying and addressing national evaluation capacity needs.

Learning outcomes:

Upon successful completion of the Workshop the participants will be able to identify evaluation needs specific to their context, key instruments for strengthening evaluation capacities, and action points their policy frameworks allow.
