Brief Description:
Some of the toughest challenges in establishing and sustaining M&E systems are often not visible at the design stage. This workshop addresses these challenges by focusing on using incentives to strengthen National M&E Systems through responsive evaluation.
Participants will explore how incentives can create an environment that supports M&E system sustainability. The session includes brief presentations and interactive activities led by the trainer, highlighting the role of incentives in overcoming common issues faced by M&E systems at various stages of development.
The workshop will cover:
- Identifying and defining incentives.
- Overcoming challenges in M&E systems.
- Sharing experiences and learning from others.
The trainer will guide participants in mapping incentives and tackling case scenarios based on existing M&E frameworks. They will also present Mexico’s experience in designing and implementing a whole-of-government M&E System. Participants will work in groups to identify obstacles and apply incentives to address them.
