Rana Sallam is a regional evaluation officer at WFP’s Regional Bureau for Middle East, North Africa, and Eastern Europe. She joined WFP in 2018 and is currently based in Cairo, Egypt. Throughout her role in the regional bureau, Rana supported the management and conduct of country-level decentralized evaluations. As WFP continues to operate predominantly in environments characterized by conflict, fragility and violence, there is a growing need in the region to evaluate and integrate conflict-sensitivity in programmes and evaluation practices. Rana also serves as a member of the United Nations Evaluation Group (UNEG) as part of the UNCF working group.
