Mr Cainglet is vice-president for the research, advocacy, and partnerships of the Federation of Free Workers (FFW), and member of the ITUC Trade Union Development Coordination Network (TUDCN). Mr Cainglet is focal point for workers and trade unions for the Asia Pacific regional CSO engagement mechanism (APRCEM), and current co-convenor and Head of the Media Committee for the Nagkaisa Labour Coalition. His current membership affiliations extend to: the tripartite Industrial Peace Council (TIPC) Executive Committee (TEC); ILO Workers Project Management Board (oversees the ILO initiated projects and programs for workers in the Philippines); the Philippine campaign to promote decent work for domestic technical working group. He is also labour educator and international resource person of the trade union and social movement courses on decent work, rights at work, social dialogue, domestic workers’ rights, migrant workers’ rights, child labor and the SDGs at the basic, intermediate and advance levels. He is former chairperson of the Knowledge Management and Advocacy subcommittee of the National Child Labour Committee (NCLC), now the National Council against child labour (NCACL); former member representing the labour sector in the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprise Development (MSMED) Council, and the Manila Technical education and skills development committee; and former coordinator of the Asian Labour Network on IFIs /Philippines. Mr Cainglet is a composer and singer of songs about workers’ rights, OSH and child labour.
