Giorgi Kldiashvili is the co-founder and Executive Director of the Institute for Development of Freedom of Information (IDFI), Georgia, Tbilisi based NGO. He has more than 12 years of experience working locally and internationally on topics such as Open and Good Governance, Access to Public Information, Anti-Corruption Policy, Beneficial Ownership Transparency, Money Laundering, Transparency and Accountability, E-Government, Open Data, Public Service and Public Administration, SDGs, Media and Internet, Democracy and Civil Society. Giorgi has implemented projects, research and trainings for various international, multilateral organizations and government agencies globally.
In addition to IDFI-related activities, Giorgi Kldiashvili, as a historian by profession, has experience in academic activities, in particular research in the history of the United States and the Soviet Union. He is a professional archivist and has 20+ years of experience working in archives in Georgia and globally. Giorgi holds graduate degrees in Contemporary History and worked as a professor of American Studies at the Institute of American Studies at Tbilisi State University.
Giorgi Kldiashvili was a member of the Open Government Partnership (OGP) Steering Committee from civil society in 2017-2020.
