Ms. Zorka KORDIĆ has been appointed Assistant Secretary-General of the Government of Montenegro, Head of Department for Government Strategies as of 7 June 2018. She was the Director General in the Directorate for the coordination and monitoring of the alignment and implementation of strategies defining public policies in the Ministry of European Affairs of Montenegro from April 2017 to May 2018. Prior to assuming that duty, she had been posted as a diplomat for two years in the Mission of Montenegro to the EU in Brussels in the Chief Negotiator’s Office, covering Council of the EU Enlargement working group (COELA) - related issues and monitoring of the EU negotiating process in a set of chapters of the Acquis. She was recruited for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Montenegro in 2010, following a one - year internship at the National School for Public Administration SSPA-Presidency of the Council of Ministers of Italy and at the Embassy of Montenegro in Rome. She holds a four-year University Degree in English and Italian language and literature at the University of Montenegro and a Master’s Degree in International Relations and Protection of Human Rights at the Italian Institute for International Organizations - SIOI in Rome. She is fluent in English C2, Italian C2, Russian C2 and French C1, with basics in German A2.
